SERVICE

 With the order of the attending physician, Restec Inc. clinicians will be responsible for the set-up, pick-up and processing of multi-channel pneumogram  data in the hospital environment.  Restec will arrange for physician interpretation and consultation. 

RESPONSIBLE PERSON(S)

 Restec Inc. employs Respiratory Care Practitioners with over 50 years of combined experience in performing and scoring pneumograms. 

DEFINITIONS

 Multichannel recording      A 12 hour concurrent tracing of  2 to 6 separate data channels on a single recorded document. Typically a minimum of 6 hours of sleep time out of the 12 hour recording is required for a valid study.

2-channel recording            ECG (trend) and respiratory impedance recording.

3-channel recording            ECG (trend), respiratory impedance and other data tracing.   

4-channel recording            ECG (trend), respiratory impedance, oximetry and pulse rate trend.

5-channel recording            ECG (trend), respiratory impedance, oximetry, pulse rate trend and nasal/oral                                                             airflow.

6-channel recording            ECG (trend), respiratory impedance, oximetry, pulse rate trend, nasal/oral                                                                     airflow and pH probe. 

POLICY

 Restec Inc. will offer same day service on 2 - 6 channel recordings ordered before 5:00 p.m.  7 days a week.  Orders received after 5:00 p.m. will be set up the following morning for infants or evening for pediatric patients.  Results for 2 - 6 channel recordings will be provided the day of pick-up (except on weekends) when results are received before 9:00 a.m.  Results for recordings received after 9:00 a.m. will be reported the following business day.
